Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem was named as Israel’s Leading Hotel for 2025 by World Travel Awards, which have been dubbed as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry.’ World traveler and noted author Edwin Black said of the hotel he frequently visits, “In a Jerusalem neighborhood where several of Israel's best hotels operate, the Waldorf Astoria stands a dimension taller as the most elegant, architectonic, and uplifting of them all.”

A leading authority on hospitality and travel, the World Travel Awards is celebrating its thirty-second anniversary this year. Winners of the award are selected annually by travel professionals and consumers from over 160 countries, casting more than 650,000 votes worldwide.

The award to Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem was announced on October 26 at a ceremony in Dubai, reflecting recently improved relations between countries in the region. This is the third time the prestigious hotel has achieved such laurels, having been similarly recognized in 2022 and 2024.

Avner On, General Manager of the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem, said:” This is a tremendous honor for Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem, for our dedicated team, for the Waldorf Astoria brand, and for the city of Jerusalem itself. Winning this award for the second consecutive year demonstrates that even in challenging times, it is possible to deliver world-class hospitality at the highest international standards.”

The inaugural International Policy Summit, conducted by Jewish News Syndicate, was held at the Waldorf Astoria this year. Top American and Israeli officials, diplomats, and experts discussed geopolitical challenges facing Israel since the deadly 2023 terrorist attacks that sparked the current IDF military operations against Hamas in Gaza.

“We invest great effort and resources to ensure an unforgettable guest experience from our culinary excellence to the finest service details. We will continue to represent Israel and Jerusalem with pride on the global stage, and I warmly invite our guests to experience our unique atmosphere, luxurious spa, and exceptional service,” said On.

The luxurious Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem Hotel is regarded as one of the most ambitious and impressive projects ever completed in Israel, representing an investment of approximately $150 million. It features 226 rooms, including 29 luxurious suites, a grand ballroom, state-of-the-art meeting facilities, three gourmet restaurants, a fitness center, and a world-class spa. A review by ThePointsGuy.com noted: “The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem offers a prime location for tourists, with easy access to shops, restaurants and the Old City.”
